Ryobi Gundogs

We are a small kennels that breed, train and trial top quality English Springer and Working Cocker Spaniels in the heart of the West Midlands

 

Our training ground is fully secure and on private property with access to rabbit pen, cold and live game training when in season. We also have access to water, woodland and heathland so we can train you and your dog for any environment or situation you will encounter.

 

We will tailor make a training programme that will guide you and your dog to the highest level of obedience and ability and we can do this through 1-2-1 training or through small group days of upto 5 dogs and handlers.

 

During the season we offer live game training days so we can simulate a days shooting or trial situation for you.  

 

 

 

 

 

I've been involved with shooting and the training of Gundogs for the best part 20 years having a strong interest in the working cockers and Springer Spaniel side of the field trial world and gaining valuable experience by being in the company and learning from some of the best gundog trainers in the country and still willing to learn from such guys/ladies today.
At present I'm the field trial secretary for the Welsh Kennel Club a position I've held for the past 5 years and hold 4 field trials per year and previously held the same position of field trial secretary for the UGBA Gundog club for a number of years which is based in the West MIdlands area with both positions giving me valuable experience of organising open stake & novice stake spaniel trials with this experience being passed on to organise training days run to field trial standards/conditions giving the novice handler invaluable experience under supervised conditions before entering into the world of Field Trials. 

 

Training lessons. 

These can be catered towards the novice handler or for someone who is new to the sport of training gundogs but don't worry we have all been there when first starting out.
1 on 1 or small group lessons are our specialty if your looking to get advice and shown the correct and easy way to train your gundog to a very high standard and even moving onto field trial standards of training but overall you will end up with a dog to be proud of in the shooting field wether it be used as a high standard beating dog,picking up dog or to venture into the trialling world with the facilities we have to offer from safe grass fields,pools for basic water work, acres of woodland and a well stocked rabbit pen. All levels can be catered for!!

Training Days. 

Our Training days can be tailored to all our clients needs from 1 on 1 tuition with a novice handler who just wants a couple of birds shot over his/her dog to a 30 bird training day with numerous handlers present run on a field trial basis but don't worry you won't get put out!!!
